Current economic realities make it more critical than ever that public organizations plan for the optimum use of increasingly limited resources.

The design and engineering professionals at BBS, as part of the design process focus on the optimization of commercial, institutional and industrial facilities and their environments. We are innovative and results-oriented in providing the necessary information to enable our clients to understand the economics of buildings and their related systems.

The nature of such a study typically includes an evaluation of specific items within each building, certain subsystems and designated supporting site facilities to determine their present condition and to recommend necessary/essential repairs and/or improvements. Further, consideration of health and safety, preservation and prevention of deterioration, operating economy, compliance with new codes and regulations and the addition of new systems and facilities to improve the overall operation of the buildings may be made. Such studies also comply with New York State SED requirements for a 5-year plan.

BBS also performs yearly visual re-inspections, building condition survey reports (BCSRs), and annual fire inspection reports.

Finally, the facilities study will indicate the priority of essential repairs, replacements and renovations.
